Drive-In Showings

How does it work?

After booking your ticket(s), you will be emailed your e-ticket, keep this safe as you’ll need to show it on arrival. Once checked in, you’ll be handed your fully sanitised speaker, assigned a bay number by placing a magnetic number on your vehicle and directed to your perfect parking spot by one of our stewards, ready for the movie to begin! Great news, we offer a range of food and drink which can be either purchased during the movie or pre-ordered so that you’ll receive it once parked up. See the booking page for more info!

I’ve booked and paid for my ticket but I can’t see it in my emails?

Your ticket may have gone into your Spam box, If you could check your Spam box and look for ‘Stripe’. If you need any additional assistance, send us an email to, jo@blueskyoutdoor.co.uk

How will I hear the movie?

We provide you with a fully sanitised car speaker on arrival, which is ready to go so there’s no need to worry about tuning in your own car radio or car battery problems!

Are your speakers cleaned after each movie?

Yes, our speakers are disinfected with alcohol based solutions before and after each use.

Will there be toilet facilities available?

Yes there will be toilets provided at all our drive in movies.

How many people are allowed in the car?

We remind customers that by purchasing a ticket for a vehicle that they are doing so in the knowledge that they will be arriving with members of the same household or support bubble (Max 6 Persons) Please note: You must adhere to the latest Government Guidance or Law when attending the Drive In Movies, this information may change from time to time.

Can I sit outside the car?

We cannot allow people to vacate and sit outside their car, as the Government would constitute this as a mass participation event and the licence we have, is only outdoor drive in movies.

Can I open the car window?

We are following Government Guidance and will ensure that each car abides by the social distancing rules, to allow you to open your car windows, should you wish to do so.

Are there any height restrictions on cars?

There are no height restrictions.

Will there be alcohol?

We have a selection of alcoholic drinks such as beer, wine and prosecco as well as soft drinks for the driver. Please drink responsibly and always ensure that you have a designated driver who does not drink alcohol.

Can I bring my pet?

We welcome all our friends, even pets! If you want to bring your pet, please do. If for any reasons you have to leave your vehicle with your pet, if you have a dog, it must be on a lead.

Will I have a good view?

We’ve set the drive in movie, to allow a good view from all cars. When you book, you’ll be asked to pick if you have a standard or a large car (SUV, People Carrier etc) just so that we can space cars out successfully as they arrive, to provide the best view for all.

Can I watch the movie from my truck bed or the boot of my car?

Of course! If you mention to the steward that is parking, that you would prefer to reverse park your car, they will be sure to accommodate you to ensure you have a great view!

How close will the car next to me be?

Cars will be spaced to allow for social distancing to take place between the rows so you can easily walk to and from the toilet facilities. The cars will be parked next to each other like in a car park so if you do need to leave your vehicle please be aware of people in the car next to you. We will be taking social distancing into consideration at all times. Each car is approximately 2 metres from the next.

What time should I arrive?

The time that you have booked is the time that the movie starts. We advise that you arrive approx 45 mins prior to the start of the movie. This allows time to check in, get you parked in your perfect spot and chance for us to deliver any pre-ordered food. Please be patient, you may have to queue as we accommodate everyone and make sure everyone has a great view.

Will we be able to purchase food?

Of course! You can pre-order from us whilst purchasing your ticket, we have a range of exciting food for you to choose from including our Retro and Luxe Food Boxes and our freshly made pizzas. You can alternatively purchase food from our Gourmet Food Truck during the movie via a website which is on a card attached to your speaker. We offer a range of freshly made food including chilli dogs, wraps, and nachos, along with cinema favourites popcorn and sweets!

Can I bring my own food and drink?

Of course, feel free to bring your own snacks for the movie. Our food service will still be available if you decide to purchase any additions.

Can I bring my children?

Children are permitted at our events, but please be aware that they must adhere to the movie’s certification and our stewards will check to make sure that all audience members are the suitable age to see the film. Valid photo ID will be required for anyone we believe to be under the age certification of the movie. The following ID can be used as proof of age: Current Passport, current UK Driver’s Licence or Provisional Licence, Citizen Card.

How can I keep up to date with all your events?

Will the movies still go ahead if there’s bad weather?

Our screens are suitable for any weather conditions that are thrown at us! If for whatever reason the movie cannot go ahead, we will endeavour to let everyone know who has booked with us.

Do I need to print my ticket?

You can either print your ticket out or show the confirmation on your phone when you are being checked in. A member of staff will need to scan the QR code which is featured on your ticket. If you have pre-ordered any food, this will be an additional QR code which will also need to be scanned.

Is there a box office at the venue?

We ask for all tickets to be bought online prior to the event.

Do I need to wear a face covering?

You are not required to wear a face covering whilst sitting in your vehicle. However, we ask that you wear them when outside your vehicle and when using the toilet facilities. These rules may change depending on Government restrictions.

Will there be anyone on site to assist if I have any technical difficulties?

Yes, there is always a member of staff on hand should you need assistance. We provide you with a telephone number, so should you have any issues during your visit, you can give us a call and we can assist you.

What happens when the film is over?

When the film ends, a steward will guide you towards the exit in order to get all of the vehicles out of the venue in a quick and orderly fashion. Upon the exit, there will be a member of staff who will remove the magnetic number off your vehicle, they will also collect your speaker and bid you farewell and thank you for attending Blue Sky Cinema’s.

Can I get an exchange or refund on my ticket?

We are dedicated to making sure that you do not miss out on a trip to the movie so we offer a no-questions asked ‘film swap’ where your ticket and any additional pre booked packages can be exchanged for an alternative film/venue. Please see our full terms and conditions on our REFUND POLICY.

How does it work?

If you are driving to and from our cinemas, please drink responsibly and always ensure that you have a designated driver who does not drink alcohol.

Can I bring my pet?

We welcome all our friends, even pets! If you want to bring your friendly pet, please do, all pets must be on a lead and be kept within your designated seating area. If you need to leave your seating area with your pet, it must be kept close to you and please be considerate of others.

Will I have a good view?

We’ve set the open air cinemas so that everyone will have a fantastic view of the screen. The height of our screens and quality of audio means that you will have the perfect spot to enjoy the movie. Our team will endeavour to meet any specific requirements you may have, just speak to one of our team

How close will the party next to me be?

We will ensure that all groups will be at least 2 meters apart from each other to ensure the current coronavirus guidelines are adhered to. If you need to use any of the facilities provided we ask that you maintain a social distance from other people and wear a face covering where appropriate.

There is an option when you check out to add ticket insurance to your order, which entitles you to a ticket refund incase you can not make it. Refund Policy

1.0 We are fully committed to making sure that you do not miss out. With full understanding of the current climate and changes to work scheduling, Blue Sky Cinema offers a no-questions-asked policy for “Film Swaps”, meaning that we can transfer your ticket(s) across to any available movie title. Simply email us with your Film Swap request to jo@blueskyoutdoor.co.uk

1.1 If an event is cancelled or rescheduled, we will use reasonable endeavours to notify you (if you book online, we will use your account details). However, we cannot guarantee that you will be informed of such cancellation, rescheduling or alteration before the date of the event. It is your responsibility to ascertain whether an event has been cancelled OR rescheduled and the date and time of any rescheduled event.

1.2 Cancellation: If an event for which you have purchased Tickets or Packages is cancelled in full (and not rescheduled), your order will be cancelled, and you will be refunded the Sale Price of your Tickets or Packages (Service Charges and Order Processing Fees may be non-refundable).

1.3 Rescheduling: If an event for which you have purchased Tickets or Packages is rescheduled, Tickets and Packages will usually be valid for the new date (or you will be offered Tickets or Packages of a value corresponding with your original Tickets or Packages for the rescheduled event, subject to availability).

Blue Sky Cinema Refund Protection is an optional service offered to ticket buyers, by which they are entitled to a full purchase refund if they are unable to attend a pre-booked event due to any unforeseen circumstances. This optional service is available at ticket checkout.

Blue Sky Cinema is offering free ticket transfers to all buyers, should members feel unable to attend their booked date due to illness, choosing to self-isolate or travel restrictions. Please contact us via email to transfer your ticket to a Christmas or Valentines Day event.
